How does whole-set engraving work?
Steak knife engraving is A$10 per knife. For these sets, the engraving option applies to the whole box: four knives cost A$40 to engrave and six cost A$60. Enter your message once; the same wording is engraved on every knife in that set.
- Leave the engraving option unticked to buy the set without personalisation. The text field and engraving amount stay hidden.
- Select Add personalised engraving to reveal the text field and additional fee.
- Check the spelling, capitalisation and engraving cost before adding the set to your bag.
- Buying two four-knife sets with the same engraving means eight engraved knives and an A$80 engraving fee. For different wording on separate sets, add each set separately with its own message.
Other i-DOO kitchen knives use a different engraving rate of A$15 per knife. That rate does not apply to these steak knife sets.
What should you have engraved?
A first name, initials or a short date can make the gift personal without crowding the blade. Steak knife text is limited to 10 characters, including spaces and punctuation. Aim for nine characters or fewer for a cleaner, more elegant finish.
Examples include Alex, J. Smith or 12.10.26. Check the exact text rather than relying on an abbreviation the recipient may not recognise. For a longer name or special request, contact i-DOO before ordering to confirm whether it is suitable.
